News: PC&S Interviewed for CNN Infrastructure Special
| |
12/10/2008
Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., (PC&S) a premier bridge inspection firm, headquartered in Bucks County, PA, was recently interviewed by CNN, the Cable News Network, for an infrastructure special titled, “Roads could create jobs", that aired on CNN’s, The Situation Room on Friday, December 5th.
CNN’s Abbie Boudreau came on site with PC&S and our client, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), as they inspected an elevated section of Interstate 95. Boudreau interviewed PC&S Pennsylvania Bridge Inspection Manager, James White, regarding the condition of Pennsylvania’s infrastructure and discussed the recent Emergency Inspection of Interstate 95 that led transportation officials to close the highway.
In March of this year, PennDOT called on PC&S, to perform an emergency inspection on the steel and concrete overpass that carries Interstate 95 over Richmond Street in Philadelphia, PA after a six-foot crack in the 15-foot tall column was detected. The early detection of the failing column prevented any potential fatality and has since placed much needed emphasis on the condition of our Country’s infrastructure.
