News: PennDOT District 4-0 Selects PC&S Project Team for Design/Build Contract

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc. (PC&S) will provide Design Services for the rehabilitation and improvements of State Route 0171 and 0092 in Susquehanna County for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Engineering (PennDOT) District 4-0.
In partnership with FAHS Construction Group of Binghamton, NY, PC&S will provide design/build services for the $2.4M redecking and rehabilitation of two structures; One is a 3-span (134 foot long) steel structure and the other is a 2-span (95 foot long) P/S spread box. Both bridges are located in Susquehanna County off I-81 in Great Bend and Lenox Townships.
The rehabilitation will include the repair and painting of the existing structural steel superstructure on SR 171 bridge; bearing replacements; the complete redecking of both bridges along with new parapets and railings; and other miscellaneous structure retrofits. Traffic will be maintained during construction through the installation of temporary traffic signals at both bridges. The final design, permitting and construction is scheduled to commence in May 2009.
