News: PC&S Underwater Inspection Group Awarded Project in PennDOT District 9-0

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently selected the PC&S project team for a contract in District 9-0. PC&S will perform the underwater inspection, as a sub consultant to GAI Consultants, for the structure carrying S.R. 3009 over Lake Gordon in Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County.

GAI Consultant’s scope of services for this project will include preliminary engineering, environmental studies, final design, and services during construction. The field work for this project is anticipated to begin in April 2009.

“We are looking forward to working with GAI Consultants on this project to help meet the District’s needs,” said Alan Jackson, PC&S Underwater Inspection Manager. “With this contract, our bridge inspection dive crews will be working in nine PennDOT Districts throughout the year.”

The field work for our dive crews will begin in April 2009 and continue into December. We will be working in PennDOT Districts 2-0, 4-0, 5-0, 6-0, 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, 11-0, and 12-0.
