News: Aaron S. Detwiler, E.I.T. Promoted to Bridge Inspection Team Leader

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., a full-service engineering firm headquartered in Newtown, Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Aaron Detwiler, E.I.T., C.B.S.I., to Pennsylvania Bridge Inspection Team Leader.
Aaron began working at PCS in May of 2007 as a Structural Engineer-in-Training and has been a valuable asset to both our Transportation Inspection and Transportation Design groups.
“Aaron is a welcomed addition as a PA Bridge Inspection Team Leader and has already begun to assume his new role,” said James S. White, Pennsylvania Bridge Inspection Manager. “In the past two years Aaron has demonstrated the expertise and the attention to detail necessary to succeed as a team leader and we are confident that he will play a key role in the continued growth of our Bridge Inspection Program.”
Aaron obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 and a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Natural Sciences from Lock Haven University in 2007. In addition to his well-versed degrees, Aaron has attended various courses to enhance his knowledge and skills, such as, the PennDOT Basic Bridge Inspection Training Course, the PennDOT Bridge Scour Evaluation Course, the PennDOT Load Rating Analysis Training Course, the PennDOT BMS2 I-forms Training Course, and PennDOT CoRe Element Assessment Course.
