News: PennDOT District 5-0 Selects PCS Project Team for Design/Build Contract

Pickering Corts & Summerson, Inc., (PCS) a full-service civil engineering firm headquartered in Newtown, Bucks County, PA, is proud to announce the recent award of a Design/Build contract with PennDOT District 5-0. PCS will be providing design services to James D. Morrissey (JDM) for the design and plans for a concrete highway restoration. The project is in PennDOT District 5-0 on S.R. 0033 in Northampton County between Stockertown and Wind Gap.
The work to be performed under this construction contract will include final plan preparation for the roadway; traffic control, pavement marking and signing, and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, traffic management and incident management plans; and survey and permits for approximately five miles of the four-lane highway.
PCS has a great working relationship with JDM and we are looking forward to the completion of another successful project. PCS recently worked with JDM on two Design/Build projects in District 5-0 on Interstate 80 and Interstate 380. Additionally, we worked with JDM on a small retaining wall project in PennDOT District 6-0.
The final design, permitting and construction of this project is scheduled to commence in late June 2009.
