News: PCS Land Surveyors Live on the Air on 102.9 WMGK
| |
3/1/2010
Two of our land surveyors, Phillip Mosby, PLS, Field Operations Manager, and Nicholas Schwartz, Assistant Field Operations Manager, were featured on 102.9 WMGK Monday, February 22, 2010 during the John DeBella morning show.
With the recent blizzard snow accumulation we've experienced this year, the morning show personalities on 102.9 WMGK were commenting on the massive snow piles in the radio station's parking lot and speculating the actual height of the pile.
PCS's Phil Mosby, who was tuning in at the time, contacted the radio station to offer his expertise. John and the morning crew asked Phil to come on-site to measure the pile, believing that only a land surveyor could determine the exact height. Phil and Nick measured the pile live, on Monday, February 22nd using an electronic total station.
The results of the snow pile were 94 cubic yards, 2538 cubic feet, about 10 feet high, approximately 137,502 pounds of snow equaling 68.5 tons, and approximately 5.5 truckloads.
Listen to the segment of Phil and Nick at WMGK.
