News: PCS Selected to Provide Underwater Bridge Inspection Services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc. (PCS), a full-service civil engineering firm headquartered in Newtown, Bucks County, PA, was recently selected by TranSystems in Langhorne, PA to provide Underwater Bridge Inspection Services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission’s Systemwide Biennial Bridge Inspection Contract 06-045-RDVQ.

PCS will provide underwater inspection services as a Subconsultant to TranSystems. As part of this agreement, PCS will perform the underwater inspection for 14 structures including the new, large bridge over the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, PA. The remaining large structures in this contract are located over the Allegheny, Lehigh, Schuylkill, Beaver, Lackawanna and Juniata rivers.

The PCS underwater bridge inspection group, led by Alan Jackson, will begin this project in late June and will continue through 2011.
