Pickering, Corts & Summerson was selected to lead a Stormwater Management Planning and Design Workshop at the New Jersey Association for Floodplain Management (NJAFM) on Thursday, October 18, 2007.
The concurrent session, themed “Stormwater as the foundation not the roof,” was held to educate attendees on Site Design utilizing Stormwater Best Management Practices.
The presentation included an overview of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Best Management Practice (BMP) methodologies with an emphasis on local regulatory and site design initiatives that encourage the use of BMPs in local municipalities. The presentation finished with a review of various BMP-driven company projects that illustrated ways in which stormwater management was integrated into the site design process.
