News: PC&S Wins Design/Build Contract for PennDOT District 4-0

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc. (PC&S) will provide Design Services for the Rehabilitation and Redecking of State Route 247 over The Lackawanna River in Blakely Borough, Lackawanna County, PA for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Engineering District 4-0.

In partnership with FAHS Construction Group, Inc. of Binghamton, NY, PC&S will provide design/build services for the $1.2M redecking and rehabilitation of the 127 foot long, two-span structure that carries Route 247 over the Lackawanna River in Blakely Borough.

The rehabilitation will include the repair and painting of the existing structural steel, the complete redecking of the roadway, and the replacement of the sidewalks and railings. Traffic will be maintained during construction through the installation of temporary traffic signals. The final design and permitting is scheduled to commence in July of 2008 with construction scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2009.
