The structure rehabilitations for this agreement included nine bridges along the I 95 corridor. Our structural engineers developed the necessary documents for the seven construction contracts awarded by DelDOT.
Overpass structures were rehabilitated and painted while maintaining traffic on I-95 & I-495. Our structural engineers performed an in-depth bridge inspection, analyzed and designed the repairs including temporary shoring and jacking supports, and developed the construction contract plans and specifications. The proposed work was staged to maintain the heavy traffic volumes at all times during construction. Detailed Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans delineated temporary lane configurations, sign placements, and construction sequence.
