PCS prepared the technical design documents for the rehabilitation of historic Afton Avenue in downtown Yardley Borough. The Borough received a Transportation Enhancement, Hometown Streets and Safe Routes to Schools grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The primary consideration for the project was for the safety and accessibility of pedestrians.

The project will provide a connection from Lake Afton and the Delaware River to the Downtown. The design will include new curbs and sidewalks, gravel paths, ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, new landscaping, and stormwater improvements at Lake Afton.
