PCS provided the structure, highway, civil and traffic control engineering for this $1M bridge replacement project for Whitpain Township. The existing single span bridge was replaced with an at-grade 22’ x 5.5’ single cell precast concrete box culvert designed in accordance with PennDOT standards using a cast-in place concrete deck slab, sidewalls, wingwalls and vertical wall bridge barrier with an architectural surface treatment. Utility coordination involved the relocation of aerial power and communication lines and underground sanitary and water lines.
PCS managed the project design tasks and provided survey, plot plans and legal descriptions for township right-of-way acquisitions, permits, plans, cost estimate, bid documents and construction inspection services.
