PCS was retained by WSP USA to perform underwater inspection services for the Delaware Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) at all of the Commission’s main river bridges in the Central and Northern Regions, which included 13 bridges from Uhlertown, PA-Frenchtown, NJ to Milford, PA-Montague, NJ. These services included the inspection of a total of 55 substructure units.
The overall objective of this task was to perform an NBIS underwater inspection of all 13 bridges prior to the required inspection interval, identify conditions requiring remediation, and provide the Commission with a detailed 2021 Underwater Inspection Report. The details of this report included inspection findings, recommendations for remediation, and estimated costs for said remediation.
PCS performed the underwater inspections utilizing a 4 person qualified dive team, including a professional engineer and commercial divers who are PennDOT and New Jersey certified bridge inspectors.
