Office Assistant

Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., an award winning, multi-disciplinary engineering/design firm has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our company as an Office Assistant in our Newtown, PA office.

SUMMARY
Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing reports, interacting with clients, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors. May also train and supervise lower-level clerical staff. Will serve as back-up front-desk support. Position is typically a 40-hour/week position, however occasional overtime may be needed.

A self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills will thrive in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as typing, proofreading, mass mailings, copying, data entry, and other tasks.
  • Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software.
  • Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, FED EX, or facsimile machine.
  • Coordinate and perform select office services, such as records keeping and file management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work within a group environment, as well as independently, to reach mutual goals.
  • High personal motivation for quality work.
  • Good organizational skills, time management and personal motivation for quality work.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma. Business courses or equivalent approved office experience preferred.
