Pickering, Corts & Summerson, a professional civil engineering and surveying firm, is proud to welcome Kamlesh Ashar, P.E. as the new Director of Transportation Services at the firm. Prior to joining PCS, Kamlesh worked for PennDOT for over 34 years, where he started as a Civil Engineer Trainee in the Bridge Unit, and worked his way up to serve as the District Bridge Engineer for all of District 5-0. While at PennDOT, he was a 2016 Star of Excellence Award Winner, which is awarded to PennDOT employees who have shown to provide the very best transportation services to Pennsylvanians.
Kamlesh will be working from PCS’ Phillipsburg office, where he will oversee various transportation and bridge projects. He will also be a part of the firm’s leadership team, and will be participating in the analysis and design of bridge replacement, rehabilitation, inspection, and preservation projects. Kamlesh graduated from University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

In his free time, Kamlesh enjoys cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles and travelling with his family and visiting U.S. National Parks. His wife, Nisha, and their three children, all work in the engineering sector as well.
