Bridge Inspection and Load Rating of Somerset County Bridges, NJDOT

This project included the NBIS inspection of 46 Somerset County Bridges for NJDOT over a four year period for two cycles. One bridge was over an active railroad and the remaining bridges were over waterways. PCS utilized large ladders, a platform boat, and a bridge tracker to gain access to reach critical areas. Superstructure types included concrete and corrugated aluminum arches, box culverts, rigid frames, steel trusses, steel beams, prestressed concrete beams and voided slabs, and glue laminated timber beams.
