Underwater Bridge Safety Inspections of New Jersey County-Owned Bridges

PCS performed the underwater inspection of county-owned bridges in Sussex, Bergen, Ocean, Burlington, and Monmouth Counties. The divers utilized a large boat, surface-supplied diving system, and helmet with 2-way communications. The technical report detailed defects and included streambed evaluations for existing and potential scour and the substructure’s vulnerability to scour.
